Countryside on the way to the coast

At the end of September we had two days off for the Cambodian holiday, Pchum Ban. Many Cambodians go into the villages to make sacrifices of food and money (fake money) to their ancestors. We were privileged to head out of the city to the coast, Kompong Som. It was relaxing to get away from the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh and to see some green again!

On the way to the coast we went through a mountainous area, Kiriom.

We stayed at a place near the coast...not quite like Grand Haven with the cows and all!

Nate doing his homework along the way.
